Abstract

The visiting researcher will collaborate in ongoing researches developed by Cibelle Celestino Silva and her coworkers (University of São Paulo at São Carlos), related to history of electricity, optics and cosmology; he will participate in researches on the teaching of astronomy, at the Observatório Dietrich Schiel of the University of São Paulo (São Carlos); he will cooperate in researches relative to history and sociology of science of Denise Silva Vilella and Thales Haddad Novaes de Andrade (Federal University of São Carlos); he will teach two courses at the Graduate Program on Science, Technology and Society of the Federal University of São Carlos; he will also establish contacts with the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences of USP concerning a possible research collaboration relative to the teaching of astronomy; besides that, he will deliver talks (undergraduate and graduate levels) at USP and other institutions of the São Paulo State.
