Abstract

The purpose of this academic visit to the Department of Mathematics of the University of Sao Paulo, from October 1st. thru 20th, 2015, is to continue investigations with Prof. Jaime Angulo Pava on the orbital stability of periodic wavetrains for non-linear wave equations of sine-Gordon type. In addition, Prof. Plaza will deliver a series of three lectures on the spectral stability of periodic wavetrains for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation. (AU)
