The project refers to the development and supply of a monitoring system for the electron beam profile of the SIRIUS accelerator (3 GeV). The system is composed by a fluorescent screen (Chrome doped Alumina) inserted, via pneumatic actuator, into the path of the beam in a ultra high vacuum line. The beam interaction with the screen generates electromagnetic radiation, also in the visible region. The beam footprint on the screen in the visible region (fluorescence) allows the observation of cross-sectional beam dimensions as well as its relative centering in the vacuum line… (AU)
