Green nanotechnology: development and evaluation of cosmetic hair input synergistic containing wheat ceramide, jojoba oil and Brazil nut oil

Abstract

The Brazilian cosmetic market is the world's third largest cosmetic consumer market. Brazil is the country with the greatest biodiversity in the world, with an estimated over 20% of the total number of species on the planet. Therefore, oils and other ingredients have been tested for the treatment of hair. The chemical structure of jojoba oil is different from other vegetable oils and closely resembles the composition of the capillary sebum, so it is as effective for the treatment of hair. The Brazil nut oil is used as feedstock in the manufacture of creams to soften the hair. Currently significant portion of the active ingredients on the market are of Indian origin, and Chinese, and often the origin is unknown. Thus, it is essential the knowledge of the source and origin of the assets as well as its effectiveness. The synergy between lipids and ceramides is required to recover yarn from assault. Ceramides act as a cement which retains the integrity of the yarn. The desire to 10 out of 10 women is to have hydrated, shiny hair, without split ends and damage. Therefore, this proposal has the first fruits develop a synergistic cosmetic input with sustainable source of ingredients, natural, no preservatives and effective in the treatment and recovery of the damage of the hair fiber, using the development of nanostructured lipid carriers to favor the penetration of the active on the wires. For this, smooth caucasian hair strands are used and the strands are stressed by descolorization process and then treated with the cosmetic raw material and subjected to analyzes: protein loss, and mechanical properties glossmeter. The presented design will promote an innovation within this technique and employing only lipid ingredients from sustainable sources without the use of synthetic ingredients in the preparation, so the design and the natural organic substances associated with a technique that generates no waste for the environment by using development only raw materials from sustainable sources. In addition to these benefits, the hair cosmetic input will protect and restructure damaged hair strands promoting wellness, sustainability and effectiveness. (AU)
