Abstract

Technology has an important role in determining of the industry competitiveness. The technological innovation allows the development of new products and processes and the production of supplies with a maximum recovery, reducing costs. Among the various sectors that adopt technology strategies for the development of new products stands out the Cosmetics Industry, this is an area in frank expansion. The use of the technology allows the formulation of cosmetic products more stable and effective and makes possible the production of new delivery systems. Micro and nanostructured systems are examples of a global technological trend that has been widely used in cosmetic formulations such as sunscreen, anti-aging, products for the prevention of cellulite, localized fat, among others. Among the numerous compounds used in cosmetics stands out the green coffee oil, a product rich in fatty acids, sterols, di-and triterpenes, which gives the skin a number of actions, such as moisturizing, regenerative and stimulating addition to exert antioxidant action. The present work aims to develop micro and nano systems for application in the field of cosmetics containing green coffee oil and ±-tocopherol, as well as study and evaluate its stability, the antioxidant potential, the sun protection factor and permeation and retention skin of the systems developed by comparing the results with a conventional formulation.
