Abstract

The objective of this research project is to propose techniques for mitigating harmonic components of grid electric current using the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) of wind power generation connected to the electricity system that features pure sinusoidal voltage or with harmonics components. Proposes to study the techniques of control powers of DFIG allowing the converter also act with the function of active harmonic filter electric current, in addition to its conventional operation so as to maintain the total harmonic distortion (THDi) of grid electric current, within the limits defined by Brazilian law. The studied system is mathematically modeled using computational tools to test its operational viability and subsequently a prototype power reduced in the laboratory will be implemented. This text shows a proposed control with simulation results that allow us to infer about the viability of the project proposal. Other proposals will be studied and presented during the development of this work. (AU)
