Abstract

The project's main objective is developing a center of studies related to the computer's presence, so as a precompositional tool as much as an effective music instrument. Our goal is the research on composition and performance's new digital ambients looking for strategies and composicional thoughts that can be associated to them. Focused formerly on the compositional and performance aspects, not only restricted to technological aspects, other questions should be studied such as: authoriship (the softwares authorship and the musical authorship when resulted from those softwares), velocity and homogenization of results, the presence of traditional composition processes enclosed into softwares, the technonolic fetishism etc. This project have relation with to two other projects developed with Fapesp's aid ("compositional and performative techonological ambientes" and "the application of the filosophical idea of ritornelo applied in digital interfaces for musical creation and real-time audio treatment in free improvisation") but now directed to a group that will involve the program of graduated studies and pos-graduated studies in music of the Art Institute of UNICAMP.
