Abstract
It is proposed to tackle some of the classic problems related to the group of units of a group ring, such as the Zassenhaus Conjectures, the normalizer conjecture, the existence of free sub-groups of position 2 in the group of units of a ring group, etc. Also we will study some problems intimately related to this, such as the existence of free subgroups of position 2 in the multiplicative group of a ring with division, the problem of isomorphism for partial ring groups, the structure of alternative loop rings. This concerns a far-reaching project, which provides natural continuity to research activities which members of the group have been developing for years and which will be developed in collaboration with several well known professors, from abroad.
