Abstract

This RTI project, with a value of R$ 1.096.272,00, will improve and upgrade the infrastructure of various research lines of the Institute. We propose to implement the Geophysical Instrumentation Laboratory (LIGe), postponed since last year, besides meeting the most urgents needs of various specific labs in the Depts. of Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences, including fixing and calibrating several field equipments. Most of the support will be used to upgrade and improve the computing systems used for short-term rain forecast, weather forecast and modeling of future climate scenarios, all of them with results shared with the scientific community and open to the general public.
