Abstract

The Trojan Horse method is used to extract, from the experimental data, cross sections of reactions which are relevant to nucleosynthesis and nuclear astrophysics in general. Processes of the type a + A going to b + (x + A) are measured and used to extract the cross section of the subsystem x + A, which is more difficult to study directly. We plan to investigate the validity of the method within the framework of nuclear reaction theory. (AU)
