As a proposal for the present research project I intend to develop investigation activities in nuclear spectroscopy with astrophysics interest using nuclear reactions to be measured at the IPN (Institut de Physique Nucléaire) of Orsay, Paris, France. These activities will be performed with the group NESTER (Noyaux Exotiques STructure et Réactions) led by Profa. Fairouz Hammache. This laboratory has a system for radioactive ion beams production called ALTO (Accélérateur linéaire et Orsay Tandem), which is based on a linear electron accelerator of 50 MeV coupled to a system of identification and separation of elements, and a Tandem type particle accelerator of 15 MV associated with a spectrograph of the split-pole type. These activities can be divided as follows. 1) Participating in experiences with the radioactive ion beam production system ALTO. The purpose of this activity would be to obtain information about this system and analyze the feasibility of a future installation of a similar system at the Physics Institute of USP. 2) Nuclear spectroscopy in the investigation of reactions of astrophysical interest. Participate in experiments of interest for nuclear astrophysics using beams of 7Li and protons accelerated by the 15 MV Tandem. The goal of these experiments is to obtain spectroscopic information of the nuclei 21Ne, 26,27Al and 24Mg using the split-pole spectrograph. 3) Data analysis of the 17O(7Li,t)21Ne* reaction. Analyze the data to be obtained for the 17O(7Li,t)21Ne* transfer reaction using the split-pole spectrograph to obtain spectroscopic information on the 21Ne* nucleus and thereby study the 17O(a,n)20Ne and the 17O(a,g)21Ne capture reaction with astrophysics interest .The IPN Orsay is a great laboratory with a long tradition in nuclear physics research. I can contribute to data analysis with my knowledge in DWBA calculations and in return I will have the opportunity to improve my skills related to the modern detection system and experimental apparatus available in this laboratory. Moreover I will have the opportunity to deep my knowledge in issues related to nuclear astrophysics. Thus, I believe that this stage will be beneficial to both research groups, NESTER Orsay and NEAN (Exotic Nuclei and Nuclear Astrophysics) that I'm leading in IFUSP. (AU)
