Abstract

The Postgraduate Program in Technological and Environmental Processes - PPG-PTA, Master degree stricto sensu in the Interdisciplinary area, approved by the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - Capes in 2013, brings together professionals from different areas, such as: physicists, biochemists, Pharmacists, environmental, materials and computing engineers, among others. This Master's Program supports several Laboratories, such as: Biomaterials and Nanotechnology - LaBNUS, Toxicological Research - LAPTOX, Biotechnology, Applied Nuclear Physics - LAFINAU, Thermo-Physical Properties and Non-Metallic Materials, among others. This project aims to improve the flow of research developed in the Laboratory of Applied Nuclear Physics of the University of Sorocaba (LAFINAU). More specifically, we are requesting the acquisition of a set used in the preparation of samples for the X-ray Fluorescence equipment, purchased with Fapesp's aid resources (Process nº 2012/5651-4) and classified as multiuser equipment, according to described in http://www.uniso.br/esquisa/multiusuarios/. We are sure that with the acquisition of this equipment the number of students welcomed in this laboratory and the quality of the research work developed will grow. This proposal was elaborated considering the rules for use of the technical reserve funds granted by FAPESP. (AU)
