Abstract

The research project is related to Development of an embedded system to help the movement of Bicycles in urban areas and facilitate the monitoring and planning of bike lane, traffic, etc. The system is based on an Infrastructure based on a Network of Beacons using BLE/LoRa Technology to Connect via Bluetooth into one electronic device coupled to the bicycle. The Device is composed by a set of RGB LEDs to create a POV Display, GPS module, accelerometer and light sensors and humidity that can extract information of the conditions of the path. This integrated system will allow some specific application regarding the movements and traffic of Bicycles and that will have impacts on the rider's safety, to encourage to usage of this alternative transportation, an to help planning the cycle lane infrastructure bases on a real time demand. It also will provide a digital tool for Education and Tolerance of sharing public roads. The objective of the Proposal and development is to obtain a complete system that is able to integrate bicycles into on network capable of communications and offer services to users and regulators tools that will leverage the practice this alternative means of transportation and consequent Improvement of make obtain more Efficiency in the Urban Mobility of Large Urban centers. The Project has being developed by Pullup Electronic Solutions Ltda., A company based in the incubator center for Technology (CIETEC) in São Paulo and with strong ties in electronic engineering segment. Pullup has a dedicated team of Electronics Engineers and IT and shares several Partnership with the University of São Paulo and startup in areas complementary to this project, all that will be put in help to develop this solution.
