Virtual training system development to measure performance and professional behavior of public and private security area

Abstract

The main objective of the project is the development of a technology platform for corporate education using 3D simulators for training professionals from the private and public security. The simulator is a device that, in training, reproduces the essential features of an activity and enables direct human operation. The motivations to use technology for training in the security field are: Decreases the high team travel costs for the stands, shooting stand rental, costs missiles, overtime with professional, cost weapons rent and the instructor in the stand; It enables the training of professionals in ever shorter cycles; Lower costs with overtime and numerical shortage of instructors; Allows repeatability for improvement of knowledge at low cost; Assists in monitoring the progress of professionals, among others. The new simulator has innovative features that will create a competitive advantage and also increase the business model opportunities for marketing both in Brazil and abroad. One of the innovations is the use of HMD (Head Mount-Display) that recognizes the laser shots fired from real firearm, the customer will be able to get a cheaper technology and the 360 system will not be necessary (four simulator to six screens). Besides, it will also save on logistics, physical space, maintenance, etc. The solution becomes cheaper on the market and simplifies the customer's life. You can generate a patent application in Brazil. Also, it is possible to lower the company's costs when sending equipment to the customer, and also facilitates the issue of export of the product to other countries. Another innovation is the module to measure user performance through KPI indicators (Key Performance Indicator) using BI (Business Intelligence) and the centralization of data coming from various present simulators at different locations. This solution does not exist in the competition. This will facilitate the sale for HR departments of enterprises and organizations. Currently, the sale of the simulator is focused on training manager or professional responsible for courses, never a director of HR. The biofeedback application is a highlight of this solution phase (behavior module). the information of the change of heart the user rate during simulated training to assist in verifying whether it will be used is: Fit (normal) under observation (forward) and not fit (very eager) to perform a safety function can generate interest police institutions (military and civilian). There are the products of competitors, the biofeedback information from users related to your training with the simulator (behavior module). To capture the data will be used a wearable technology device (wearable). Thus, the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) will focus on the design of the solution with the HMD (Head-Mount Display) using real firearms and shooting laser to the simulator; the data capture by using wearable technology smartwatch (accelerometer and heart rate) for the behavior module and to assist the HMD system; in creating a 3D virtual environment for training with the HMD relating to biofeedback information from the smartwatch, and finally the development of a web platform to receive the data coming from various gifts simulators in different physical locations and generating performance reports each of the users (module performance). Keywords: virtual simulator, wearable technology for biofeedback, head-mount display (HMD), smartwatch, corporate education, measuring professional performance, measuring behavior, public and private security.
