Abstract
The evolution of space missions and their systems has been driving innovations and the creation of ideas and new technologies for decades. The search for innovative solutions that combine the optimization of resources and materials guide the recent research in the space field. The systems formed by several bodies connected by cables (Tether Systems) are an innovative idea and can be the solution for the reduction of costs in space missions, being one of the concepts that have the potential to fulfill the goal of efficient transportation in space. In this work, will be discussed the structures connected by cables, their viability, the rotational dynamics and the behavior of the system in space environments, stability and control systems. We will create models that simulate and explain the dynamics of the object and will analyze the main parameters of the systems that use this dynamic. (AU)
