Abstract

White spot lesions are the first clinical sign of carious lesions and indicate loss of subsurface enamel mineral, therefore, a treatment for these lesions is the infiltration of a low viscosity resin, denominated infiltrant. The aim of this study is to evaluate the physical and chemical properties of experimental infiltrants containing different compositions and Icon® commercial infiltrant. For this, the following tests will be perfomed: conversion degree, bioactivity, sorption and solubility, depth penetration and resistance to demineralization, color stability, cohesive strength, elastic modulus, radiopacity, roughness, surface morphology of experimental infiltrants and Icon®. The data obtained correspond to the normality and homogeneity of the variances. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and Tukey and Dunnet tests. (AU)
