Development of infrastructure for teaching and technical-scientific communication at the Instituto Adolfo Lutz

Abstract

The Adolfo Lutz Institute has an organizational structure composed of the Central Laboratory, located in the City of São Paulo, and 12 (twelve) Regional Laboratory Centers located in the cities of Araçatuba, Bauru, Campinas, Marília, Presidente Prudente, Ribeirão Preto, Rio Claro , Santo André, Santos, São José do Rio Preto, Sorocaba and Taubaté, strategic points of the State of São Paulo (State Decree No. 55.601 of March 22, 2010).It acts in the promotion of health in the State of São Paulo as the Central Laboratory of Public Health, developing multidisciplinary scientific projects to respond immediately to emergency problems and / or new diseases. It develops basic and applied scientific research and performs procedures for the diagnosis and complementation of specialized and differentiated tests according to the level of complexity and epidemiological, health and environmental characteristics of the different regions of the State of São Paulo and other units of the federation, the demands of Health Surveillance, as well as developing activities in Teaching and Extension, which integrated to the Research axis, seek to promote knowledge and its dissemination and incorporation in laboratory actions of Health Surveillance in benefit of society and the strengthening of SUS.Information systems are generally the basis for decision making, and the faster and more efficient the decisions taken, the better the responses given to the community. The resources of the Technical Reserve will be allocated to the improvement of the education infrastructure and the data and communication network of the Central IAL and its CLRs, to guarantee the access and quick exchange of information between the units and the society, besides providing the environment necessary for the teaching area of the institution.
