Abstract

This project intends to investigate the techno-scientific transformations, their direction and their current or probable effects, from the sphere of the language and particularly from the study of the metaphor or the analogical language position in these transformations. In spite of the current point of view supported by the mass media that the future of high technology would essentially be characterized by the increasing of the digital, the techno-science seems to be attracted by the search for bodyless metaphors, that is, in the vision of many specialists, in controlling and shaping the analogical thought out of the physiological organism, while in arts seems to go deep the process of destitution of intuitive metaphors that the body would be submitted to. The main objective of the proposal is to launch some light on this techno-scientific search and its consequences, even before reflecting about which probable effects of its real success in future would be, clearly involving the questioning of the condition of the human being, as it has been guaranteed until here by linguistic and mental peculiarities.
