Abstract

In last decade we shown that continuous wave free precession NMR can be used in highthroughput measurements agro-food products. The major advantage over the conventional NMR techniques is the use of the repetition time independent of longitudinal relaxation time T1. We also showed that CWFP can be used as a new method to measure thermal diffusivity in natural rubber in few seconds. Thermal diffusivity is an important parameter in conservation, sterilization of agro food products. We also have shown that Carr-Purcell-Meigboom-Gill (CPMG) NMR technique is very sensible to the temperature of oilseeds. The objective of this project is to use CWFP and CPMG techniques to measure heat transfer in oil seeds in soil columns and it effects in seed germination and viability
