Influence of the resisted physical exercise in the metabolism of the UChB rat ventral prostate (voluntary intake of 10% ethanol)

Abstract

The alcohol consumption has been associated the metabolic and reproductive alterations being able to cause many pathologies. Studies show that the ethanol chronic consumption is associated with the prostate cancer. One of the measures that can abbreviated the manifestation of cancer, including of the prostate, is the regular physical exercise. Literature demonstrates that the physical exercise can change the prostate metabolism through biological mechanisms. The present work has as objective to evaluate the influence of the resisted physical exercise through jumps in half-liquid on the UChB rats ventral prostate metabolism. The experimental alcoholism model (lineage of UChB rats) with resisted training in half-liquid will be used. It will be analyzed the prostate structure, proteins imunohistochemistry CD36, LIMPII, SCAP, SREBP-1 and AIR (androgen receptor) and Ki 67, fosfatases enzymatic histochemistry (acid and alkaline), biochemistry parameters, (glucose, total protein, total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, VLDL) and hormonal (free testosterone, dehidrotestosterone, estrogen, GH, IGF-I and SHBG).
