Abstract

So that the schools present good conditions of physical accessibility, them they must present projects architectural that consider the proposal innovative of the paradigm of the inclusion. For instance, they lack instruments to the managers of the education to carry through the necessary adaptations and adequacies of school spaces. So the purpose of this work is to elaborate a protocol to assess physical accessibility conditions of nursery schools, aiming at the aspect of locomotion of pupils with deficiency. The place for conducting the investigation will be in Municipal nursery schools of city of the interior of the State of São Paulo. First, schools will be mapped out to make it easier visualization of their location, after that the schools will be selected to be visited and observed. The visit aims at identifying their physical-pedagogic spaces organization, for which it will be necessary to know the routine plan of each school. Above mentioned spaces will be photographed and object of observation. The pedagogical or principal assistant of each school visited will also be asked for an interview - of semi-structured type - to discuss may existing dangerous places. After visits and interviews, a design of those schools physical-pedagogic spaces will be made. The protocol will be elaborated based on that design and photos. The elaborated instrument will be used in schools that had not been part of the sample to verify its applicability.
