Abstract

The human activities have affected biogeochemical cycles of many substances in the environment. The analyses of air, water and soil indicate that the contamination and accumulation of toxic metals are increasing continuously. Therefore, the study of heavy metals in its various compartments in the water system requires the use of sensitive analytical techniques. The techniques eletroanalíticas has emerged as an alternative for spectroscopic techniques, for present some advantages, such as the reach of low limits of detection, simultaneous analysis of different cations, high speed analysis, cost analysis, among others. Thus, this project seeks to assess the possibility of electrodeposition of bismuth for subsequent employment of electroanalytical electrodes manufactured in determinations of metal ions by stripping.
