Abstract

Summary:Dry socket is a post-exodontic complication related to a deladed healing process, after the fibrinolisis blood clot and before granulation tissue organization, it's etiology is multifatorial, many treatments have been described. The purpose of this research it is to evaluate in rats (in vivo) the healing of dry socket intentionally provoked and treated with olive oil ozonized on experimental group and alvolgyl on control group. 45 rats will be divided in three groups. GI (not ozonized oil), GII experimental group (ozonized oil), GIII (Alvolgyl"). Five animals of each group will be sacrificed after 2, 7, 14 days, and the specimens will be processed for histological and histomorphometrical study.
