Response of the Jatropha curcas l. plant to NPK fertilization and soil water levels in relation to biomass production

Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the physiological performance and yield of Jatropha curcas L. plants, in response to different levels of NPK fertilizer and different irrigation depths, including the quality and oil content of the seeds. The experiment will be conducted in Piracicaba, SP, Brazil, under greenhouse conditions using a completely randomized design, with four replicates: T1 = 100% fertilization NPK + 100% layer of irrigation; T2 = 75% NPK fertilizer + 100% layer of irrigation; T3 = 50% NPK fertilizer + 100% layer of irrigation; T4 = 0% NPK fertilizer + 100% layer of irrigation, T5 = 100 % NPK fertilizer + 75% layer of irrigation, T6 = 75% NPK fertilizer + 75% layer of irrigation, T7 = 50% NPK fertilizer + 75% layer of irrigation; T8 = 0% NPK fertilizer + 75% layer of irrigation; T9 100% NPK fertilizer + 50% layer of irrigation; T10 = 75% NPK fertilizer + 50% layer of irrigation; T11 = 50% NPK fertilizer + 50% layer of irrigation, T12 = 0% NPK fertilizer + 50% water depth . Plants will be grown in cylindrical pots of 1 m height and 0.3 m diameter, filled with a mixture of soil and animal manure in the proportion of 50% by volume. The statistically significant results analysed by the F test applied to the variance analysis will be tested by Tuckey to compare means.Evaluated physiological and biochemical components. (AU)
