Abstract

This research project considers the theoretical analysis and computational implementation of new models for the transmission network expansion problem. The proposal is to formulate and analyze new models, with a more general view, for the analysis of transmission systems, especially considering the behavior of the transmission lines and also to find more efficient proposal solutions. Additionally, new programming modules, more efficient than the ones already used, will be made to deal with the non linear sub-problems generated in the optimization of the transmission network expansion problem.
