Abstract

The goal of this research project is to study the quantum integrability of the su(1,1) sector of string theory in AdS5xS5. The su(1,1) sector is a particularly interesting example of fermionization, which appears naturally in this model due to the constraint analysis in the uniform gauge. As it is well known, the fermionization technique used by Wiegmann and Polyakov allow us to obtain the solution for nonlinear sigma models. This technique however has not yet been applied to string theory. The su(1,1) sector of string theory, known as the Alday-Arutyunov-Frolov (AAF) model, provides the first example of fermionization in string theory, and hence is a particularly interesting model to be studied.
