Existing research report significant improvement in quality of life of this group of children. The group of children who stood out in the reviewed studies were children with cerebral palsy (CP). The present study has the following objectives: 1.To study the benefits of IC in children with sensorineural hearing impairment with CP; 2.Understand the process of hearing rehabilitation in a group of children with CP and users of CI; 3.Study the relationship between auditory skills, language, cognitive, motor and level of independence in activities of daily living. Is retrospective analysis of all children with CP who received CIs in Audiological Research Center, Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies, University of Sao Paulo. Inclusion criteria were: diagnosis of cerebral palsy, absence of oral reflexes and tonic neck, presence of cervical cancer control or being acquired, sensorineural hearing loss profound bilateral, not benefit from using hearing aids, lack of severe intellectual/emotional, participation in auditory rehabilitation program, family integrated with the treatment.
