Abstract

In the 50 Ruellan Francis held a series of research on the relationship that exists between relief, structure and drainage in Brazil. Their work showed that the older structures influenced by dissecting the differential relief through evolution, also differential, hydrography and large folding background, as are large gaps participated from partitioning of the Atlantic seaboard relief, intervening actively in large systems hydrography of the country. In a recent survey, studying structural and morphological factors, Vervloet (2009) found that the old structures and folding background may influence not only the great river systems, but also interfere with the differential evolution of small drainage systems, as can happen with the river basin in southern Benevente Espírito Santo. Vervloet (op.cit.) discovered that there may be a strong relationship between the anisotropy of Proterozoic structures, systems failures, too Proterozoic, and deep folds of controlling the differential evolution of this river system, through the systems of knickpoints, and higher levels resistance to linear fluvial dissection, which is effected by incorporating the same channels. However, these factors have not been extensively studied from the standpoint of structural-geomorphological mapping and hydrogeomorphic, being necessary to examine properly, on what is the effective participation of these structures in the differential evolution of the drainage network. So for this to happen, will be held a doctoral research to investigate the processes of differential evolution of fluvial channels front lithological structures inherited from Proterozoic and the importance of the folds anticlines and synclines background on the genesis of knickpoints that might influence, differentially, the basin evolution of the basin. This will use the method of the Association and indeterminacy in geomorphologic Leopold and Langbein (1970) and cartographic technical procedures, field and office. With this, we hope to demonstrate in detail and statistical mapping, which is the participation of these factors in the genesis lithostructural and conditioning of the drainage network and under what conditions occurred the processes of isolating and festoning made by the main channels of the same. Concomitantly, a proposal will be developed a proposal cartographic hiydrogeomorphological basin to benefit the scientific studies geomorphological and geological structural and spindle-like guide to the technical and operational steps.
