Abstract

The project seeks to investigate the presence of the German Theatre in São Paulo form 1930 to 1970, through an analysis of the censorship processes detailed in the Miroel Silveira Archive.I shall work with the plays quantitatively, setting up a database containing information on their authors, research the German Theatre Companies in São Paulo, analyse the way the censorship worked in each of these plays and the collective influence that German authors and their plays appear to have had on the Brazilian Theatre.
