Abstract

This work seeks to broaden the vision related to the importance of improvisation in music education. Considering improvisation the element of genesis, primordial value and introductory tool, that suggests insight, creativity and questioning, basing a significantly music listening. For thus, we intend to discuss based on concepts presented by educators such as Maria Teresa Alencar de Brito, Violeta Gainza, Murray Schafer, John Paynter, Rogério Costa, and the musician, composer and improviser Chefa Alonso. The methodology will consist of carrying through a bibliographical research with ways to the elaboration of the theoretical recital, and developing and to evaluate improvisation proposals, applied in groups of children of the School of Application of the FE-USP, divided into two age groups( 8 and 10 years old), working with existing models and proposals. The conclusion will describe and compare the various processes of development with ways to detach the singularity to each group and each work, well as so the most relevant procedures can be suggested.
