Abstract

Recent technological phenomena have pointed to other appropriations in Architecture, Arts and Design involving the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in both product and process. The interactive objects, the focus of this research, are one of the approaches of ICT uses in the product, and their development requires appropriate design processes. However, given the diversity of elements to consider to develop an interactive object, the question that emerges is the ability to understand the process from a systemic perspective. Thus, the research aim is verify the relevance of understanding the design of interactive objects from the science of complex systems. Intended to establish systemic relations between the stages of design process, embracing since the formation of design team until design and production of experimental prototypes. The research focuses on design team members involved in the interactive object development, and the relationship between them during the process. This research is part of the investigations of Nomads.usp - Center for Interactive Living Studies of the School of Engineering of Sao Carlos of the University of São Paulo, in which researchers have investigated the design process mediated by information and communication technologies.
