Abstract

This study addresses the effectiveness of different screening methods of the Burnout Syndrome in dental students. The sample will consist of dental students volunteers enrolled in Araraquara Dental School - São Paulo State University. For sample characterization, the socio-demographic information will be assembled and for the assessment of the Burnout state the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI-SS), the Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI) and the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) will be used. The questionnaire will be applied in classroom. The pilot study will be conducted for intra-examiner calibration. The data will be organized with descriptive analysis, and showed in tables and graphics. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and the accuracy of each method will be calculated (OLBI, CBI), considering the MBI-SS as gold standard. A ROC curve will be constructed and its area estimated (AUROC), with the significant level of 5%. (AU)
