Abstract

The Natural Product Group of Chemistry Department of the Exact and Technological Sciences Centre of Federal University of São Carlos has developed researches with the following subjects: 1.To know the interaction between plants and insects;2.To control insects plague using natural products and synthetics based in natural products;3.To know the chemosystematics of the plants of Sapindales;4.To know the mechanism of resistance transfer in grafted plants;5.To contribute to obtain natural drugs for the control of tropical disease. The main subject of this project is to develop methodology of High Speed Counter Current Chromatography (HSCCC) and High Performance Liquid Chromatography to the studies of partitions of the extracts of Myracrodruon urundeuva bioactive in leaf cutting ants, Atta sexdens rubropilosa.
