Abstract

The purpose of this work is investigate Graphenes and Carbon Nanotubes optical properties, and apply them in generation and characterization of ultrashort optical pulses, generated in a passively mode-locked Erbium-doped Fiber Laser. The 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics to the physicists the first sintetized graphene, in 2004, K. S. Novoselov e A. K. Geim shows todays graphene importance in a worldwide scientifical scenary. It points towrds the necessitiy for more studies on basics science and apllied science about this new material, looking for new electronical and optical graphene-based technologies, to solve problems such as high-speed electronic data processing and worldwide bandwidth requirement in optical telecommunicaions.
