Abstract

A variety of molecular markers have been used in research on intra-colonial degree kinship. The main goal of this work is to study the structure of Euglossa melanotricha intra-colonial sociogenetics, with the use of analysis of profiles of cuticular hydrocarbons and microsatellite markers. The study will be held in the ecoregion of the complex of the Chapada Diamantina, Bahia. All individuals collected will be stored in alcohol and transported to the laboratory of genetics of the Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana, washed and stored at -80°C until extraction of DNA. Extraction and analysis of microsatellites will be held at the school of Arts, Sciences and Humanities - EACH - USP. The analyses of components cuticulares will be held in the laboratory Behavior and ecology of social insects - USP. (AU)
