Abstract

In the region of São Paulo with climate Cwa, the production pruning grape 'Niagara Rosada' is realized in two seasons: winter and summer. The winter pruning is called dry and provides the grape harvest at the end of the spring / summer, in the summer pruning, called green pruning, the harvesting occurs in late autumn / winter. In order to ensure good shooting in green pruning, performed in summer, it is necessary to defoliate the grapevine, once plants are in the phase of reserve accumulation; therefore, they keep their leaves. It is intended to accomplish two distinct experiments performed on 2 crop years: 2011/2012 and 2012/2013. The first experiment will be conducted at experimental area of ESALQ crop production department, aiming to compare the development of 'Niagara Rosada' subjected to different pruning times of production. The treatments will be comprised: plants exposed only to the production pruning winter and pruning plants subjected to the production of winter and summer. In the first year will be evaluated the absolute growth rate (AGR), photosynthesis content and production. In the second agricultural year, the plots will receive the same pruning production of the previous year and will be removed two plants fron each plot, during the pruning and growth stages of budding, flowering, fruiting, early maturation, harvest, falling leaves and numbness. The second experiment will be carried out in Porto Feliz - SP and aim to evaluate the effect of ethephon before pruning summer production, on the development of 'Niagara Rosada'. The treatments utilized will be different concentrations of ethephon applied 20 and 15 days before pruning and defoliation production manuals 20, 15 days before the production pruning and in the pruning day. It will be evaluated the number of shoot buds, the length of the branches, level of reserves in the branches, number of clusters per shoot and per plant, production and fruit quality. In both experiments, the statistical design will be randomized, the data will be subjected to analysis of variance and the averages are compared by Tukey test at 5% significance level. (AU)
