Abstract

We planed the synthesis of 1,5-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,4-pentadien-3-one, HB1 and derivatives. The analgesic properties of this molecule will be determined (analgesic assay in rats). Therefore, we planed the use of this molecule as pH indicator.The synthesis of push-pull butadienes starting from hydroxyacetophenones shall be realized under Vilsmeier-Haack and Knoevenagel reaction conditions. All the compounds will be purified and their structure shall be characterized by spectroscopic methods and organic elemental quantitative analysis.
