Abstract

This project intends to investigate universitary visions about masculinity (ies) through an ethnography among UFSCar undergrad students following their life at the university, in few of their fraternity houses, and also in their parties. It wants to investigate if university life changes their view about gender relations. The research wants to understand the relational dynamic in the creation of masculine identities. Based on gender studies and Queer Theory, the analysis will focus on the changing aspects of masculinity among these young guys and their possible connections to sexism and homophobia. (AU)
