Abstract

The idea for the optimized planning of radiotherapy is to achieve three goals: to maximize the amount of radiation to the tumor in order to eliminate it, not to exceed the pre-set dose to critical tissues and not exceed the prescribed dose to healthy tissue. Thus, this research project aims to multiobjective optimization techniques for assistance in determining optimal plans for cancer treatment by radiotherapy, among these techniques will be emphasized exact methods multiobjective (Weighted, E-restricted, etc.) and evolutionary methods (Genetic Algorithm). The project is feasible, because the student candidate is able to develop it, with a very good school performance, the research is fully inserted in her area of training (Medical Physics)and Department of Biostatistics together with Department of Physics and Biophysics IB-Unesp will give all the support structure (Laboratories) and scientific for the project development.
