Abstract

The implementation of this research could be justified by the strategic necessity of the addition the economic value to the Brazilian forest residue, encouraging the manufacture of particle panels, with the use of the forest residue as the Eucalyptus citriodora wood and Bamboo, through the application of technological knowledge and then developing the particleboard which meets the worldwide demands. The physical and mechanical properties of the particleboards would be evaluated through the standardized tests (Norma NBR 14.810): the water absorption coefficient, moisture content, density, resistance to bending and parallel traction to fibers and determine the internal cohesive bond strength of particle panels.
