Abstract

Enzymes modified or immobilized using magnetic nanoparticles are being investigated from the point of view of methodology improvement, exploring several coupling alternatives, as well as, from the mechanistic point of view, by constructing model, biomimetic systems. One of the major targets is the exploration of the enzyme recyclability, in special, the CAL B lipase, and of the applications in trans-esterification of secondary alcohols and their enantiomeric resolution.(AU)
