Abstract

The aim of this study is to compare the in vitro adhesion of endodontic sealers based on mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) to the root canal wall by means of the push-out test. The experimental groups will be established according to the sealers used: Group I: FillApex MTA (Angelus, Londrina, Brazil), Group II: MTA experimental (FOAR - UNESP), Group III: AH Plus (Dentsply, DeTrey, Germany), Group IV: Endofill (Dentsply Indústria e Comércio Ltda, Petrópolis, RJ, Brazil). Will be selected 20 uniradiculares roots of human teeth, embedded in resin. Each set of tooth/resin will be sectioned into three disks of 2 mm each. Then, the channels will be prepared in a standardized manner using a drill engaged in a profilometer. The specimens will be divided into five groups (n = 15), according to the root area (cervical and middle third) to be analyzed. Each body-of-proof is placed on mechanical tested using a push-out. After the mechanical test, five root portions of each group will be evaluated in a stereomicroscope with 32x increase in order to assess patterns of failure. The data will be subjected to statistical tests with a significance level of 5%.(AU)
