Abstract

V The potential etiological factor related to the Molar Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) is unclear. The aim of this study is evaluated the amoxicillin effect on the rat enamel development. It will be performed a dose-response curve. It will be used 5 groups (Ga, Gb, Gc, Gd e Ge) with 5 pregnant rats in each group. These rats will receive one daily dose of amoxicillin, intragastrically, from the 14 day to 20 first day of pregnancy. At Ga, amoxicillin 25mg/kg, at Gb: amoxicillin 50mg/kg, at Gc: amoxicillin 100mg/kg, at Gd: (Sham Group) saline, and at Ge, none treatment will be done (Control Group). The offspring will the sacrificed at the 12 day of life and 22 day of life. These offspring with 12 day of life will be removed the maxilla and jaw fragments that containing the incisor and molar germs, and it will be analyzed by the histological analysis and amelogenina by the immunohistochemistry. The offspring will 22 day of life will be the molars and incisors removed and analyzed by fluorescence induction using QLF (Quantitative light-induced fluorescence), stereoscope (magnification of 20X), and the mineral contain will be analyzed by secondary ion mass spectrometry. The data will be tabulated and analyzed statistically.(AU)
