Abstract

In this research project in progress, they are presented steps for the development of PhD researche linked to the Research Group and the Integrated Research Projects "History of teaching language and literature in Brazil" and "Brazilian bibliography about teaching language and literature in Brazil (2003-2011)" (CNPq), all coordinated by Maria do Rosário Longo Mortatti. In order to contribute to the production of an history of teaching language and literature in Brazil and to contribute to the understanding of the history of teaching children's literature in Brazil and unexplored aspects of the history of teacher education courses, they are focalized aspects related to "teaching to teach" children's literature on teacher education courses for primary school in São Paulo State, between 1947 and 2003, dates, respectively, of the first and the last time "children's literature" is present as a school subjects in the curriculum of teacher educations courses for primary school of São Paulo State. By means historical approach, focusing on documentary and bibliographical research, using procedures such as locating, recovering, assembling, selecting and ordering documentary sources and reading specialized bibliography, comes to developing a research guide that contains textual references about the teaching children's literature in São Paulo State. Among the textual references localized, it will be selected the most representatives in relation to research objectives to be analyzed according to the method of analysis of textual configuration. So far, the partial results of the research has allowed to understand important aspects of the history of teaching children's literature in Brazil, especially in the teacher education courses for primary school in São Paulo State.
