Abstract Active galactic nuclei are associated with black holes in the process of mass accretion. They can be classified in several ways (QSO, Seyfert 1 and 2, LINERs etc.) depending on their observational characteristics. The study of these objects can reveal not only the geometry and physical processes associated with them but also their role in the evolution of the galaxy as a whole. The object of this study is the nucleus of M 81 a spiral galaxy SA(s)ab, located at 3.7 Mpc. We will re-analyze data from the database and available for public access obtained with integral field spectroscopy made with the IFU / GMOS on the Gemini North telescope. We intend to make spectral synthesis in order to remove the stellar contribution. After that, we will apply the PCA Tomography and construct Greenstein diagrams in order to study the kinematics of the central part of the galaxy. We want to construct a model of mass distribution of central bulge and put an upper limit on black hole mass from the study of emission lines.(AU) | |
