Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss Roland Barthes' reflections in Camera Lucida (1980) considering digital photography. There will be both a theoretical (selection and analysis of six principles brought up in the book) and a practical (photographic) study, the last one accomplished from the perspective of São Paulo city. It is also a goal to prepare a digital edition of the research that integrates both visual and verbal languages, granting a dialog between the theoretical and practical studies.(AU)
