Abstract

Acne vulgaris is a common skin disorder and the treatment is important to avoid permanent skin lesions or exacerbation of psychological disorders. Thus, the development of effective dermocosmetic formulations that can improve the conditions of this skin type is very important. Among the actives ingredients with potential benefits to be applied for acne control the vitamin B3, lipophilic vitamin B6 derivative and zinc PCA have gained notoriety due to their properties. This way, the aim of this project is the development of dermocosmetic formulations for acneic skin with vitamin B3, lipophilic vitamin B6 derivative and zinc PCA as well as stability and clinical efficacy evaluation of these formulations. For this, different formulations with or without vitamin B3, lipophilic vitamin B6 derivative and zinc PCA, alone or in combination will be developed and submitted to physical stability study, by rheology determination. In addition, skin compatibility test will be done. The clinical efficacy of the formulations under study will be assessed in terms of stratum corneum water content, transepidermal water loss, skin microrelief, amount of sebum and skin pH as well as cell characteristics evaluation with high-resolution photos. The data will be analyzed statistically to the experimental design and results discussion.
