Abstract

This research project aims to analyze the making of a Campinas visuality of 1920s on the A Onda magazine, which circulated in the city between the years 1921 and 1924. From the understanding that the visuality is defined by the set of discourses and practices that constitute different forms of visual experience, particularized by time and place in which they emerge, the intent of the research is, after an exhaustive study of this magazine, understood as source and object of research, understand the images constructed in relation to the city of Campinas, their ways of seeing the city, as well as to make seeing, approaching an idea of representation, linked to specific social groups.
