Abstract

The occurrence of a moderate oxidative stress, is often accompanied by the increase in enzymatic antioxidant defenses, but the production of a large amount of free radicals can cause cell damage can lead to death. Patients with Crohn's disease (AD) are at higher risk of developing nutritional deficiencies, especially in relation to antioxidant nutrients. If oxidative stress is not minimized, the patient will have a better chance of progressing to cervical cancer. Hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) has shown good results both in patients with severe Crohn's disease and in different types of animal models. The HBO has been used as a safe and effective treatment in various clinical conditions and Taste, but the mechanisms responsible for its therapeutic effects have not yet been elucidated. Cytokines play a key role in regulating the activity of immune cells and maintenance of intestinal homeostasis. The objective of this study is to assess oxidative stress in animal models in Crohn's disease treated with hyperbaric oxygen relationship with inflammatory cytokines. The assessment will be through the improvement of colonic histology, the assessment of oxidative stress is accomplished by glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase and super oxide dismutase and determination of inflammatory cytokines will be performed by Western blot.
