Abstract

Hippotherapy is one of the methods that has proven positives effect on disabled people. The use of the horses as a physiotherapy instrument, looking for the wealth being, improvement and prevention of many other diseases began a long time ago, and the option for this resource has begun in the last decades. By its kindness, the animal offers a relationship of unconditional love, acceptance, and confidence, which is very important for one's self steam and self-confidence. Besides that, the physical improvement is huge, because the horse's step makes a three-dimensional movement, obtaining constant correction setting and, the special surroundings help in their educational process. The job is realized in an interdisciplinary approach in horseback riding, health, and education, where the joining of this knowledge makes good results. Although it's not a new practice, there aren't many registers comparing to the great benefits hippotherapy can bring. Therefore, this study has the aim to examine the hippotherapy's importance for the patient according to the parent's and caregivers' views. This search will have the participation of the parents and caregivers of hippotherapy pupils, foreseeing a sample of 16 people. The issue will be realized by identification questionnaire of the patient and his family at the begging of the treatment, with a later analysis of the information obtained in the tables and graphs, and a final interview, where the testimonials will be written to identify the important testimonials to the search.(AU)
